ClimateGeo emphasizes speed, clarity, and business value over bloated frameworks and lengthy timelines. Instead of producing static ESG reports, ClimateGeo works in fast, iterative sprints to translate sustainability data into tangible business outcomes, such as accelerating both regulatory and voluntary standard compliance, improving supplier engagement, or reducing lifecycle emissions in high-margin segments.
Unlike larger firms that deliver bulky slide decks and generic guidance, ClimateGeo takes a lean, hands-on approach. It identifies high-leverage data opportunities, quickly prototypes solutions, and builds momentum through measurable wins, making sustainability a driver of strategy and business value, not an afterthought.
Jeff Butler, a seasoned technologist with experience at Regrow Ag and Mapbox, founded ClimateGeo Consulting. He focuses on leveraging data to drive sustainability and has a background in software development and geospatial analysis.

ClimateGeo adapts its services to meet clients where they are. For early-stage companies, it helps build foundational strategies and roadmaps, recommending RFPs or data/software partners. For mature organizations, it identifies optimization opportunities, helps scale data operations, and aligns sustainability and Scope 3 strategy across departments.
We recommend bringing 4–5 people (max!) from your team, ideally those who deeply understand your sustainability goals, supply chain, and business requirements. We also ask that anyone who attends commit to being present for all the workshops.
End-to-end, the process takes two to four weeks to get you a complete compliance assessment, data and vendor evaluation, and roadmap/action plan. However, this timeline is highly dependent on how quickly your team can provide feedback on our working iterations. Be prepared to sync with your team in a timely manner in order to keep the final stage of the process moving forward.
We try to keep things light and easy. Pre-work includes filling out an intake questionnaire, and then, during our first kick-off call, we'll ask to see a demo of any systems you're using, including any SaaS software.
No, we will not.
Yes, we will.
In short, no. Ultimately, we want to empower companies to achieve this on their own. We will provide a roadmap and recommended actions to cut through any confusion and uncertainty that your team has.
We don't do this for three reasons:
Yes, if after the Sprint you'd like to partner to have us guide your team or own executing the full set of recommendations, let's talk!
